Les vacances d'ete
A big 'Felicitations' to Carmen, who won the singing contest at the Music Festival this spring. Way to go Carmen. We are all very happy for you!
Just a few notes for this last week of school:
We had a great day today! We practised our summer vocabulary and went to music class. Before lunch we did some experiments with liquids and solids - we mixed two liquids and made a non-Newtonian fluid (not exactly a liquid and also not exactly a solid). All students promised today to only play with it at the kitchen table when it went home.
M. et Mme Patate are all put back together, thanks to the awesome Grade 2 students who have worked very hard to practice speaking in French.
Just a few reminders for this week...
Another crazy busy week!
On Thursday we had an assembly and we were introduced to the Summer Reading Program at the Saskatoon Public Library. What a great way to keep reading this summer! Visit the link below to see how to get involved.
We have been talking and working with air and water at school over the past little while, and on Monday, we started an experiment to see if we could prove that plants do drink water and need it to survive. We used white plants and food coloured water to see what would happen. We also put some flowers in a cup without water and others in a cup with uncoloured water to compare and look for differences. We write our observations each day in our booklet. I thought I should upload some pictures to share our results thus far. We plan on continuing until Tuesday. Enjoy!
