What a fun day! We worked well together, finished our MIMI stations, and even got to read the last chapter of Ralph S. Mouse, our first chapter book. Feliciations!

Hot lunch orders

Just a reminder that hot lunch orders for Booster Juice on October 6th are due back by Monday, October 3rd. Thanks!

October 6th Spirit Day and Hot Lunch

Today an order form went home for the next hot lunch which will be on October 6th. 
October 6th is also Favourite Character Day. Students are invited to dress up as their favourite character, whether it be from a book, movie, game, etc. 

Terry Fox Run

Merci mille fois to the parents who came this morning to help out with the Terry Fox Run. It was a beautiful day to go down to the park and walk/run to support cancer research. Our class tallied 436 marks on their popsicle sticks! Way to go everyone!
Pledge sheets can still be turned in to the school until Wednesday, October 5th.

Scholastic Book Orders

Coming home tonight is the first book order of the year. If you wish to order something, please return the order by Wednesday, October 5th. I would also like to request that payment be made by cheque (payable to Scholastic Canada Ltd.). Thanks!

Terry Fox Run

Just a reminder that the Terry Fox Run will be this Wednesday, September 28th. I will be taking attendance before we meet in the gym and proceed down to Rotary Park. Families are more than welcome to join in the walk/run, or cheer on students as they participate. Thanks for all of your support.

PJ Day

Just a reminder that tomorrow is PJ DAY! Wear your PJs and slippers and bring a stuffy.

Home Reading

Dear Parents,

I can’t believe that we are already into the fourth week of school! Wow!

I have started the process for implementing a home reading program. Tonight in your child’s sac bleu there should be a Ziploc bag of books. Please try to take some time each night to read with your child. That said, I understand that you are busy and that students participate in other activities and reading might not be completed every night, not to worry. I will read with each child at least once per week and change the books in their Home Reading Bag. Please note that at the beginning it will take some time to get to everyone. Also, books were chosen based on reading level in June. If you have any concerns about the difficulty or ease of the books, please write me a note in your child’s agenda and I will do my best to rectify it.

Hello parents! Just a quick note about some deadlines and events we have coming up.
Hot lunch orders are due back by Monday September 19th. Everyone received a bright yellow form with the options from Subway. If you require another, please write me a note to let me know. The lunches are for Thursday,September 22nd.
The second collection day for magazine orders is next Wednesday, September 21st.
There is a Spirit Day on Thursday September 22nd - PJ Day. Wear your PJs and slippers and bring your favourite stuffy.
PD Day on Friday, September 23rd. NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS.
